Analytical Services, LLC. His vision of creating an
employee focused company, to provide the best in
environmental laboratory services, has lead to CAS's
many achievements.
His twenty seven years of experience in the environmental testing industry includes senior level laboratory positions such as Director of Organic Chemistry, Laboratory Manager, and Technical Director. He has been involved and credited with the development of innovative chromatography methodologies for the analyses of perchlorate and explosives. Through the years he has acquired extensive expertise in the operation, maintenance and repair of a full gamut of laboratory instrumentation, including GC, GC-MS, ICP, ICP-MS, IC, and HPLC.
Chris serves as the Laboratory Manager and Technical Director at CAS. He enjoys the challenge of all analytical technical issues both in the field and in the laboratory, and is available to all CASs customers for in depth consultation.
Matthew Cohee
Vice President
Mr. Cohee is a founding member of Caliber Analytical Services, LLC. He shares the corporate vision of creating a better way to service environmental testing clientele with the retention of a quality staff of employees.
His twenty one years of experience in the environmental testing industry includes senior level laboratory positions such as Laboratory Supervisor, Quality Assurance Manager, Laboratory Manager, and Director of Laboratory Information Systems. He has been involved with a variety of software technologies that support laboratory data management systems. He has contributed to the development of LIMSExpress® as a software tool for NELAC compliance. Through the years Matt has acquired extensive expertise in the generation of legally defensible data.
He has also maintained his interest and skills in the analyses of trace metals by ICP-MS, and other chromatography techniques. Matts in depth knowledge of the quality control criteria for all the EPA methodologies that CAS employs serves to strengthen the laboratorys quality system. Matt serves as the Quality Assurance Manager at CAS. He is always available to all CASs customers for in depth consultation related to quality control and other technical matters.
Susanne Atwell-Keister
Senior
Organic Chemist
Ms. Atwell-Keister joined Caliber Analytical Services as an experienced environmental chemist.
Five of her
seven years of organic analytical chemistry experience were spent under the direction of Mr. Shane.
Susanne brings the qualifications CAS requires in its employees to fulfill its corporate mission. Her cross-training in organic extractions and analyses allows her to be efficient in the labs multi-task environment. Her skills with analytical instrumentation coupled with her experience with software technologies make Susanne an invaluable asset to CAS. At CAS Susanne is largely responsible for semi-volatile organic extractions and analyses including TPH, Pesticides/Herbicides, PCBs, and SVOCs.
Mary Beth Lysse
Senior Inorganic Chemist
Ms. Lysse joined Caliber Analytical Services as
an experienced inorganic chemist. She has ten years of
laboratory experience covering all facets of metals
digestions and analytical techniques ranging from flame
atomic absorption spectroscopy (FLAA) to ICP-MS.
Before joining CAS, Mary Beth spent seven years
in supervisory roles for an environmental laboratory and
a city water quality laboratory, where she became
intimately familiar with a variety of inorganic and
aquatic toxicology methodologies. Throughout this
experience she developed the skills with analytical
instrumentation, software tools, and quality control that will allow CAS to
continue to improve upon the fast-response, quality service our customers
have come to expect. Her skills, coupled with her
energetic attitude, provide a valued addition to CASs
inorganic services.
Mary Beth is largely responsible for trace
metals analyses utilizing the Agilent 7500ce ICP-MS.
Jenny Li
GC-MS Analytical Chemist
Ms. Li joined Caliber Analytical Services to provide additional support for the high-volume VOC section of our laboratory. Her
seventeen years of organic analytical chemistry experience is a valued addition to CASs extensive GC and GC-MS expertise.
Jennys experience with volatile organic compounds (VOC) analyses by GC-MS allows CAS to provide the quality, fast-response service our customers expect. She has also been cross-trained in the protocols for organic extractions and analyses, which allow her to be efficient in the labs multi-task environment.
Jenny is largely responsible for volatile organic compounds analyses including full suite VOCs in soil, groundwater, and drinking water matrices.
Andrea Castillo
Analytical Chemist
Ms. Castillo joined Caliber Analytical Services as a
part time lab technician in the Spring of 2008, her
junior year at Towson University. After completing her
BS degree in Chemistry with
high honors in May 2009, we were
extremely pleased to have Andrea join our staff as a
full time chemist. She has mastered all of the organic
extraction procedures we employ, and is currently
responsible for the analyses of Purgeable Aromatics and
Gasoline Range Organics by GC PID/FID. She will continue
to cross-train on all the GC methods performed at CAS,
and provide the backup that will ensure the
uninterrupted quality services our customers have come
to depend on.
Andrea was rewarded for her research on phosphanyl(organyl) boranes (POBs) with a trip to Capitol Hill to present a research poster for the 2009 Council of Undergraduate Research.
